Photo And Art Class!
Beginning Art is a visual arts course that introduces students to creative expression in a studio art environment. This is a great place for students to create enjoyable art projects, learn some art history, become creative problem solvers, and focus on the elements and principles of design (the language of visual art). Student projects include watercolor paintings, ceramic pottery and masks, printmaking designs, master artist reproductions in oil pastels, self- portraits, and label designs for a product. Animation is now available to those students that desire to pursue this direction in art, however teacher approval in necessary.Advanced level art is available but it is based on a portfolio review. We feel very privileged to offer digital photography here at Rio Norte Junior High. It is an introductory semester class. Students will learn about a digital manual/automatic operated camera and how to use them to take great pictures. Photo composition will be an emphasis in this class. They will work with digital photos and explore Photoshop including photo retouch and more creative digital solutions
We will also study and learn about the history of photography, master photographers and/or commercial photographers.
